Christmas Greeting Cards

There are many different kinds of Christmas greeting cards that you can send to your friends and relatives, but they can be separated into two major categories; hand-made and store bought. Both kinds have their own set of benefits and disadvantages.

Store-bought Christmas greeting cards can be bought practically anywhere, especially around Christmas time. They can come individually or in large packs, and have a variety of different designs on them.

The individual cards are best for sending to that one ‘special someone,’ where the large packs are very useful for sending to that long list of Christmas card recipients that everyone seems to have.

The benefits of store-bought cards involve the total and utter convenience. They are very cheap and easy to find, possibly only taking a few seconds of looking around a store to find a large pack for a very decent price.

This convenience is fantastic for sending out Christmas greeting cards to many people, and it leaves much more time for other, more important things such as Christmas shopping.

The disadvantage to store-bought Christmas greeting cards is the fact that they are not unique and are, in fact, practically all the same. But for a quick note to distant relatives, these are very useful.

Hand-made Christmas greeting cards can be quite rich and delicate and aesthetically pleasing to receive and many people enjoy these cards much more than commercial ones, as they have a personal touch and can involve some personal jokes or other such things. They are all unique and usually simple to make.

The problem with hand-made cards is that it is ultimately extremely time consuming to make even one hand-made card for someone. It is nice to do this if you have some spare time or want to make someone something very special.
